Nothing Poetic – just a Thursday

Two Thursdays since the last, but I want to keep being thankful.

This week, I’m thankful for the thoughtfulness of my school.

Teacher Appreciation week.

I live about 45 minutes from my place of work – and I have coworkers that live the opposite directions – just as far and further. Today, the admin of our school DROVE everywhere and dropped off signs and fabulous donuts (with a custard injector!)

This week, I’m thankful for following a liturgical calendar – and for friends who do, too:

Philip’s work of love and liturgy.

Weekly I sit down and choose music options for Sunday; weekly I sit at this dang laptop and sing and cry. It’s a bit silly – really, when I write it. True though, regardless of whether we get to meet in person or online, this is always true. So, I’m thankful when I know that many people out there are singing the same tunes, or reading the same words – or crying similar tears.

This week, I’m thankful for Spotify.

For playlists of church music;

and

For playlists of workout music;

and

for playlists of nostalgia.

This week, I’m thankful for the normalcy and being part of a Kaia Fit team of ladies that keep working out on Zoom and encouraging each other to live and be healthy via virtual and remote means. Missing a routine and embracing the normalcy of a tweaked version of it – and trying to embrace my chosen word.

That’s all for a Thursday, folks.

What are you thankful for?
