Sometimes we stop ourselves from crying out-
and our praise is heavy hearted.
Worrying our faith, fearful of the world-
forgetting to Fear the Lord.
But look at David
who, overwhelmed with praise says in the middle of Psalm 34
“this poor man called, and the Lord heard him.”
And then, calling all the afflicted, all the brokenhearted,
creates space for us to come alongside
he encourages us to join in praise;
To hold one another accountable
and turn constantly toward good,
away from evil-
and to not only turn-
but to actively seek and pursue peace.
David recognizes that there will be
struggle, and then reminds us that
because of Jesus’ sacrifice,
we will not be condemned
