It is not lost on my that I’m writing a piece about not being able to find rest, while simultaneously packing for a trip to Cancun. Maybe I’ll find rest in other places, but for now, join me at the Mudroom while I write a little about my journey with and opposition to culturally defined terms for rest.

“Maybe it is okay to find rest in philosophical studies and ideas, and rather than viewing these as just more work piled on to an already full schedule, maybe this is where I will find rest!”
