I find it extremely interesting that as soon as a person notices something about him/her self, the noticed thing begins popping up in every unexpected part of life.
When I was pregnant for the first time, I began to see pregnant people everywhere. When we bought a red van, I begin to notice red vans all over the place. When my kids started liking a certain cartoon or show, I began to see that thing everywhere – You get the picture.
A couple of weeks ago I made a comment to a friend about a Garth Brook’s song: The River – my comment was something to the effect of how cheesy I know I am when I sing it and think about how profound it is to think about a dream as a river. More and more though, this same metaphor keeps popping up in my life, and then another blogger I read and respect used the metaphor in her own blog, and I didn’t feel so alone – and she wrote it in a way that made it not seem so cheesy, so recommend you all go read her blog to get the full sentiment of life being a river –here
