It’s been a rough ride, but Fall Semester ends today. It’s all kind of surreal. The past couple of weeks have pushed me to every limit I have and forced me to set boundaries around my life. I have been sick, supposedly writing 6 papers, going to class, work, and all the while, taking care of my family. Needless to say, the laundry is in much need of folding, and my kids look a little frazzled too, but I think we survived. I’m happy to announce that I have withdrawn from Spring Semester. Yes – Happy!
It’s a horribly hard decision to abruptly stop going to school for a semester, but one that I feel so relieved to be able to make. My withdrawing from classes does not shut the door (yet again, let’s not think about that right now) on my college career, but I am able to continue as a student at Sac State with the leeway to take a semester off and revive my soul a bit – figure out if I need to finish this right this instant, or give myself the time I need to make it through life with any sort of sanity. Truth be told, my kids are troopers, but my being gone to school or to study all the time is really hard on them as well as me and we all need a break. So, there you go, I’m back to changing life again, but hopefully this time in a much less frantic, run-around-and-do-everything sort of way.
That being said, I have a small goal to achieve as Christmas nears, and I’m going to try and blog about it as it happens, so:
Knitting!
I will be attempting to knit a Hat every day until Christmas.
🙂
11 days to go people. 11 days.
